I really liked your drawing. The colors are great and I feel like the piece would be "kicked up a notch" if you added in some shading, say to the underside of the head feathers/tail feathers/ and underside and what not. I don't know if the little tuft of feathers/hair on the chest is working because it looks so much like hair rather than feathers. I also feel like either the legs are too long or the thigh area is to wide? Although it almost makes it seem like a cross between Pidgeotto and a Chocobo, which is actually kind of a cool cross.
Overall you did a very good job! You have a great style and a nice quality to you work.
